Overview
.htaccess file is a configuration file that can change settings for each directory.
Our server can be configured using .htaccess in the same way as Apache.
Please note that we do not provide support for detailed description methods of .htaccess, so we cannot provide guidance on editing content.
We would appreciate it if you could refer to the support policy, which describes the contents of the support.

The .htaccess file is hidden because it is usually treated as a hidden file.

About the placement of .htaccess files
Create the .htaccess file inside the directory where you want the settings to apply.
As an example, when applying to the WordPress directory, place it directly under the document root as follows.
/[document root]/.htaccess
When checking the document root, please check the following parts from the domain screen.
When creating/editing .htaccess
Here, we will explain how to create a new one in cPanel.
STEP 1: Log in to cPanel.
STEP 2: Open File Manager.
Click File > File Manager to open it.
A file manager will start.
STEP 3: Open the file menu.
Move to the directory you want to create and select [+ File] from the upper menu.
A new file window opens.
STEP 4: Create .htaccess.
Enter ".htaccess" in "New file name" and press the [Create New File] button.
Create a new file. No extension is required.
A .htaccess file was created.
STEP 5: Edit the file.
To edit the file, hover over the .htaccess file in your file manager and choose either:

- Select [Edit] from the top menu
- Select [Edit] from the right-click menu.
STEP 6: Open the edit screen.
Press the [Edit] button on the displayed edit confirmation screen.
STEP 7: Save changes.
Enter the contents and press the [Save Changes] button on the upper menu.
If successful, the following message will be displayed.
When checking the contents of .htaccess
Here, we will explain how to check the contents with cPanel.
STEP 1: Log in to cPanel.
STEP 2: Open File Manager.
Click File > File Manager to open it.
A file manager will start.
STEP 3: Select the .htaccess file.
Hover over the .htaccess file in your file manager and choose either:
You can choose which one to display.
- Select [View] from the top menu
- Select [View] from the right-click menu
The contents are displayed in another tab.
You can check the contents without changing them by mistake, so please take advantage of it.
